Ten bravos to Sabrina Kay.

Who is Sabrina Kay? you might ask: Well, she is the president and CEO of the California Design College.

Another incredible year for this lady and her school. Sabrina will undoubtedly go down in fashion history as having one of the most aggressive and provocative schools for design.

It was her 11th annual fashion show which was held at the Biltmore Hotel, certainly one of the most attended functions of this season. The Biltmore Bowl was packed, standing room only. Every inch of floor space was covered with people. I have never seen this happen, nor has the Biltmore Bowl.

The star-studded show was a tribute to Hollywood icons, while also honoring the goddess of American swimwear, Esther Williams.

The concept was sensational. Students took the fashion images of icons such as Greta Garbo, Bette Davis, Sophia Loren, and reinterpreted their look., making no attempt to copy them, but they might have been like today. It was a wonderful new idea. Now we know what they would have looked like in the year 2002.

Those celebrities modeling included Loni Anderson, who stole the show doing Marilyn Monroe. Florence Henderson, doing Madonna as Evita. Kate Linder doing Audrey Hepburn, and Tippi Hedren as Miss Monroe as a bride...WOW! It was fabulous and gorgeous.

Miss Williams spoke and held the audience captive as they ran film clips behind her. The world should never forget the impact she made. JoAnne Worley commentated and put a new twist on fashion shows.

Just can't keep going but if fashion is you, and you want to join this incredible school, which is entirely computer oriented, call (213) 251-3636 and tell them Mr. Blackwell told you to call.
